Fees and Medicare
Clear information before care begins
We want you to understand fees, referrals and cancellation arrangements before your first appointment.
Standard psychology session
$280 per session.
The appointment length, fee, payment process and any additional assessment or report costs will be confirmed before booking.
Medicare rebates
A valid referral under an eligible Medicare pathway may allow you to claim a rebate for psychology sessions. Under Better Access, an initial individual course can include up to six services. If further treatment is needed, your referring practitioner reviews your care and a new referral is required for a subsequent course, up to the annual limit of 10 individual mental health treatment services. Your referring practitioner determines eligibility and the number of services in each referral. Medicare requirements and rebate amounts can change, so Bloomera will confirm the practical details before booking and you may also wish to check current Medicare information directly.
Private sessions
You can attend privately without a referral. Some private health insurers provide psychology benefits; please check directly with your fund.
Cancellation policy
Appointments cancelled with less than 48 hours’ notice incur the full session fee. Medicare rebates do not apply to cancellation fees.
